What salary can I earn?
Your Salary will vary by:
State- Facility
- Private or Public Ownership
- Shift Schedule
- The table below are the pay rates for nurses in one state (NSW), and one type of facility (Aged Care).
- If the rate of pay is lower in a state, usually this is compensated by a lower cost of living in that state.
- It is expected that future increases in salary for nurses, will increase at a rate faster than inflation.
- This is based on the reality that nurses are in short supply in Australia for the foreseeable future.
- The allowances paid can vary according to your shift schedule.
- In the first 6 months of employment it is unlikely that you will be working evenings or weekends.
- You will be paid the base salary, until management has confidence in your ability to work independently.
