Tax rates in Australia
As Temporary Residents you pay the same tax as Permanent Residents and Citizens of Australia

The Australian Federal Government in April 2006 compared Australia’s taxes with the rest of the developed world with the following conclusion:
“Australia has the second lowest level of direct taxation on individuals and payroll in the OECD-10”
Tax ranges from 17.6% on a salary of $43,656 to 23% on a salary of $72,851
Taxes are again being reduced by approximately $1,000 per year from 1st July 2008
