Steps to working as an Australian nurse
1. Fill out the Enquiry Form on this Site
One of our representatives will call you, or e-mail you and discuss your situation.
We will need a resume initially. We may ask you to:
- Provide details on your education and experience
- Participate in our online clinical and theoretical test.
- Agree to an interview by phone
- Attend our offices in your country.
2. Apply for Registration
The steps that you must take to apply for registration are the following:
- If selected, complete a Nursing Board Registration Application Form
- Provide notarised copies of identity papers, education and work experience.
- Authorise Nursing Careers to act on your behalf in applying for registration.
- Pay a fee to the Australian State Nursing Board of approximately $A 145
3. Receive Conditional Registration Approval
The State Nurses Board will advise Nursing Careers of their assessment.
Conditions of approval may include:
- Undertaking a Board approved assessment course in Australia.
- Providing additional documentation
4. Enrol in a CBAP Course
Nursing Careers has partnerships with the leading Nurse Education institutions in Australia.
We will enrol you in a Competency Based Assessment Program (CBAP).
5. Provide Funds for Fees/Living Expenses
You will need funds for course fees, travel, living and accommodation and relocation expenses.
